This new eBook is just what educators need to create a personalized plan for implementing flipped instruction at the pace of their choosing.
Since 2011, I have been working to raise awareness of flipped instruction tools and techniques, and introducing the concept to educators across the world. In addition to articles here on EmergingEdTech, I have delivered presentations at conferences and schools across the U.S., and conducted online workshops, helping many teachers make the transition to flipped instruction.
With the Flipped Classroom Workshop in a Book, it is now easier than ever for educators to discover how the flip works and how teachers have been using it in their classrooms, while easing into flipped instruction at a pace that they determine.
Rich with references, resources, tools, and techniques, this eBook delivers a step-by-step approach to developing your own flipped teaching plan. Eight exercises walk the reader through the development of their own personalized approach for integrating flipped instruction in their classrooms. The exercises are supplemented by web pages where readers can share their insights, questions, and ideas.
The book is organized into three sections:
Section 1 – GETTING TO KNOW THE FLIPPED CLASSROOM: Get an overview of flipped instruction, learn how other teachers have been using the flip, work through essential considerations like how you can encourage students to consume flipped learning content and how you will use class time (which is ultimately what it’s all about), and start writing your flipped teaching plan.
Section 2 – GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR OWN FLIPPED CONTENT: Discover tools and techniques to create and deliver flipped content, while working through multiple exercises to familiarize yourself with these applications and ideas and further develop your implementation plan.
Section 3 – FLIPPED CLASSROOM RESOURCES: Six chapters of resources for finding great content that’s already available, and for continuing your flipped instruction learning journey. The final exercise has you consolidate and update all that you have learned in a single document to complete your plan for introducing flipped instruction in your classroom.
