3Min-TOOL-torials

EdPuzzle is Truly an Awesome Free Tool. See how Easy it is to use in our Newest 3 Minute TOOL-torial.

EdPuzzle is a powerful free application that makes it a breeze to embed questions in YouTube and Vimeo videos, and require students to watch them before they continue watching.

When students log in and watch the videos on EdPuzzle, you can then see their progress. Did they watch the video? How did they perform with the questions (note that you can add feedback to the questions as well)?

This is really one of the most useful and powerful edtech tools I’ve come across, making videos a much more powerful teaching construct, engaging students in the content as they watch and learn. It’s perfect for flipped and blended learning.

Check out EdPuzzle:

Some of you will remember that some time ago, I create a 3 Minute TOOL-torial for EduCanon, a similar product. After some thoughtful questions from teachers during a professional development session that I delivered earlier this year, I decided to try one of the other solutions available for this. EdPuzzle provided better feedback on student progress than EduCanon.

NEWS FLASH! Recently, EduCanon was absorbed by PlayPosit and is no longer available (they also acquired Zaption, another popular tool that works similarly and comes highly recommended my many educators).

Check out all of our 3 Minute “TOOL-torials” here (we have a few more ready to publish in the coming weeks, so be sure to stop back to check these out).
